Minutes of Technical Committee Meeting at GLOBECOM, Kuala Lumpur, 2023
December 5, 2023
- Introductions – The TC meeting was started at 4:00 PM MYT. The SPCC Secretary Dr. Yuanwei Liu introduced the agenda of the meeting and welcomed all SPCC members to the meeting.
- Minutes of ICC 2023 – The minutes of ICC 2023 SPCC TC meeting were approved.
- SPCC Scope, Objectives and Organization Structure – The Charter and objectives of the TC, structure and P&Ps were presented. Current and past officers were introduced as well.
- Technical Program Committee Reports
- SPC Symposium – ICC 2023: Co-chairs for the symposium include Junqing Zhang (University of Liverpool, UK), who was recommended by SPCC. The number of submissions was 119 and the number of accepted papers was 49, with an acceptance rate of 41.2%. There were 6 oral sessions and 5 interactive sessions.
- WC Symposium – ICC 2023: Co-chairs for the symposium include Arsenia Chorti (Ecole Nat. Sup. de l’Electronique et de ses Apps) and Mingyue Ji (University of Utah), who were recommended by SPCC. The number of submissions was 324 and the number of accepted papers was 126, with an acceptance rate of 39%. There were 17 oral sessions and 9 interactive sessions.
- SPC Symposium – GLOBECOM 2023: Co-chairs for the symposium include Lingjia Liu (Virginia Tech) and Fang Fang (Western University), who were recommended by SPCC. The number of submissions was 173 and the number of accepted papers was 69, with an acceptance rate of 39.9%. There were 16 sessions.
- CT Symposium – GLOBECOM 2023: Co-chairs for the symposium include Yuanwei Liu (Queen Mary University of London), who was recommended by SPCC. The number of submissions was 162 and the number of accepted papers was 64, with an acceptance rate of 39.5%. There were 9 oral sessions and 4 interactive sessions.
- SPC Symposium – ICC 2024: Co-chairs for the symposium include Yanjun Pan (University of Arkansas), who was recommended by SPCC. The number of submissions was 108.
- WC Symposium – ICC 2024: Co-chairs for the symposium include Gaojie Chen (University of Surrey), who was recommended by SPCC. The number of submissions was 237.
- CT Symposium – ICC 2024: Co-chairs for the symposium include Francisco Javier Lopez-Martinez (University of Granada), who was recommended by SPCC. The number of submissions was 112.

- SPCC TC Newsletter

- Goal: to share important information for the members of the committee; to have some brief contact approximately every six months; to become a useful communication tool; it will be brief and at the same time open for everybody to contribute.
